My first exposure to CAD was Google SketchUp. My first professional program was Autodesk Inventor. But I have used a variety of modeling tools, in a number of applications.Â
Shop
Shelf
Bicycle Headlight/Taillight/Lock mounts
Portage Cemetery Plot map
Differential Electroscope
Laptop Stand
Multi-View Name Block - Autodesk Inventor
Revit
AutoCAD
Fusion 360
Autodesk Inventor
Tinker CAD
Sketchup
Blender
Maya
I helped my father design a shop using SketchUp. It had four garage doors, a lift, woodshop, tool room, bathroom, welding corner, loft, and a 2nd story storage. The incredible thing is, now that the shop is built few things changed from this plan. The bathroom door moved, the stairs have a landing, and the lift still hasn't been put in. It was incredible for me to see a design go from theory to reality.
