Thomas & Margaret John Family Organization

Overview

The Thomas & Margaret John Organization was created in 1883 by the descendants of Thomas & Margaret John to celebrate their life and legacy. Now, over 140 years later the Organization still meets regularly in Thomas' home of Portage Ut. to celebrate family history, as well as serve the community and family as well.

My family somehow lost connection with the Organization for a number of generations. In 2019, we re-discovered the activity in the family and reunited with them. In 2021 I was elected as a family officer during the yearly business meeting. This was a new position added to ensure the future success of the Organization. I became the families Technology Administrator, in charge of telecommunications, website, and Social Media platforms. This position has allowed me to grow my skills and knowledge of building websites (thomasandmargaretjohn.org), the complexities of event planning, and good communication.
